Chandigarh: In the quest of reaching higher, we often forget there are basic necessities that might mean a lot to someone else, like for instance, spectacles that cost Rs 150. A group of youngsters under the banner "Global Shapers" got eye tests done on 457 students through their campaign titled "Shaping Vision". During the testing they detected 21 children with weak vision.
These kids will be given spectacles in another 10 days. The team was headed by Amanbir Walia along with voluteers Parampreet Singh, Archit Gupta, Vishal Verma, Gaurav Gupta, Navneet Singh and Varun Kashyap. They were supported by NSS state cell while seeking permission from the school. The team of doctors conducted basic check-ups. "In the basic test, the vision of students was tested by making them read a chart. After a machine test, those with weak vision were prescribed lenses."
