Eczema in a Toddler

An 18-month-old girl with eczema presents with a 2-day history of fever of 102.2º F (39º C), malaise, irritability, and an itchy, painful rash that is reported to have begun on her lower extremities but is now spreading to her trunk and arms and becoming increasingly painful.
