"Police Officers assisted wildlife agents in capturing the alligator," they wrote. "The alligator was relocated to safe area away from the public."

Photos show officers using a rope tied around the gator's neck as they attempted to pull it onto a truck.

Officers warned residents not to feed alligators in the area and to report any sightings.
