iHeartMedia owns conservative talker KTLK-AM in the Twin Cities. Jack Tomczak was hosting the morning show with Andrew Lee but Tomczak is out and nobody is saying why. Lee posted on the radio station website that he’s not going to go into the reasons why Tomczak is gone.
“That is between Jack and the company. It’s not my place, and it’s not my business. It’s been the elephant in the room this entire week, and I understand the frustration of listeners who have been wondering where he is and why it’s not being addressed. Some things are just better left private. This has been one of the most challenging weeks in my entire radio career. I hate knowing that the listeners are out there wondering what’s going on and I really hate not being able to be forthcoming on the air. I hope you understand. When it comes to ‘behind the scenes’ business, professionally, it is rarely, if ever appropriate to be discussed on-the-air, especially when the main player involved isn’t around to make the choice as to how much to share and how much to keep private.”
