Lean Hog Futures Lower

August lean hogs are trading at 71.52, down 0.15 cents/lb. October lean hogs are trading at 60.45, down 0.60 cents /lb. December lean hogs are trading at 55.77, down 0.67 cents/lb Lean hog futures are trading lower just after the open.. Market chatter about weak cash prices is ongoing. Trading is brisk and choppy. The USDA reported today that pork weekly export sales for the period ending July 21st totaled 10,700 tonnes. Sales were down 5 percent from the previous week and down 9 percent from the four week average.
