Puneeth is a fantastic co-star: Priya Anand

Priya Anand is in namma Mysuru, shooting for Rajakumara, her debut Kannada movie, in which she is paired with Power Star Puneeth Rajkumar. And the actress is making sure that she is making the most of her time in the Palace City. 'I love cities like Mysuru that have retained their old-world charm with heritage structures that are so architecturally rich, while also slowly embracing a more cosmopolitan nature, with urban development, wide roads and more.Puneeth has promised to treat me to local delicacies before we wrap up our schedule here,' says the actress, speaking to us on location at Aloka Palace.
Thrilled that her first Kannada film is with the Power Star, Priya says, 'He is the most fantastic co-star I have worked with in my career and Rajakumara is the best launchpad that I could have asked for.' The language, though, she admits, is tough to follow. 'This year, I am doing films in Kannada and Malayalam and even though I can understand the language, I am finding it hard to pronounce Kannada words. Thankfully, director Santosh Ananddram has been very helpful and I am somehow pulling it off,' she says.
The actress, who is busy in Bollywood, Tollywood and Kollywood as well, is all praise for the Malayalam film industry. 'I am currently working on a horror flick called Ezra in Malayalam. Malayalam films are story-based and character-driven and the script is the king,' says Priya, who is also looking forward to her next Tamil flick Muthuramalingam, in which she plays a village belle.
