CSU coach Pip McIntosh is hoping his side can produce a strong game of rugby union on the club’s Old Boys Day against defending Blowes Clothing Cup champions Orange Emus on Saturday.

In front of what’s expected to be a spirited crowd at University Oval the CSU coach is after an encouraging performance.
“We’ve had a great training session on Tuesday so we’ve got no excuses there,” McIntosh said.
“There will be a lot of old boys turning up for this so I hope the team turn up for them.”
McIntosh wants to see some toughness from his squad against one of the competition’s leading teams.
“I expect some better defence. Forbes ran over the top of us in our last game,” he said.
“We still haven’t been able to produce a full 80 minutes of our best football in a game.
“In the first round of matches … we came close to doing that but now we’ve sort of fallen to the back of the pack.
“I really think that they are capable of having a crack and giving this a red hot go. I want them to remind themselves that they are capable of taking on the top teams.”
CSU colts regular Ethan Kelly gets a start in the second row for the first grade side on Saturday while Chad Ashton returns to the team following his shoulder injury.
Match start is 3.15pm.
