GUWAHATI: Describing as 'communal' Hindutva leader Sadhvi Prachi's announcement of a reward of Rs 50 lakh for anyone who can 'behead' preacher Zakir Naik, advocate Kamran Pasha Choudhury filed a complaint against her before the Kamrup (Metro) chief judicial magistrate's court here.
Sadhvi had made the offensive statement on July 13. She had also called Naik a terrorist.
Choudhury said, "Her statement violated the Constitution.
It is against the law to propagate views that can damage communal harmony. Therefore, I filed a complaint against her."
The court will hear the case on August 24.
