Man arrested for hatching escape plot
GREATER NOIDA: A 24-year old suspect who had faked his suicide and went to Rajasthan to hoodwink police officials was on Tuesday arrested and sent to jail. The accused was on bail in cases of armed robbery and theft. He wrote a suicide note alleging that the local police officials were mounting pressure on him to frame in a fake case. He had said that he would jump into Yamuna and end his life.
However, he hid himself at relative’s place in Kalyanpur, Rajasthan.
The accused Ishwar alias Bablu, a resident of Momnatahal village in Sector 150, disappeared from his house on July 15. He was found in Rajasthan three days later.
Abhishek Yadav, SP (rural) Gautam Budh Nagar, said that the accused had violated the terms and conditions of the bail by making this plot. “The police moved to court and got his bail order revoked. He was again arrested and sent to jail,” he said.
The suspect had fled from his house leaving a suicide note indicating he would 'jump' into the Yamuna. However, he went to some relatives’ place to hoodwink police officials. The police and family members launched a search following his mysterious disappearance. The relatives from Rajasthan informed his father, Rajveer, about his presence there. He was then brought back to Greater Noida.
The accused had left a six-page suicide note claiming that the police had framed him in a fake case of car robbery. He also accused the officials of Knowledge Park police station of extorting money from him, which allegedly drove him to suicide.
Police denied these allegations and said that he is a notorious criminal. Abhishek Yadav said that the suspect was wanted in a case of theft and armed robbery. “He had robbed an Scorpio from a businessman few months back. The police arrested him in June and he was put behind bars. He got bail on July 15. Three days later he hatched a plan and fled from his home,” he said.
