The second night of the Democratic National Convention may have wrapped with Hillary Clinton addressing the crowd, but that wasn't the last of the evening's noteworthy speeches.

At Gabby Giffords' concert for her pro-gun control super PAC, Americans for Responsible Solutions, Kesha was the night's special guest.

And after a courageous speech from Giffords, who survived a near-fatal shooting five years ago, and an introduction from actress Elizabeth Banks, the singer addressed the crowd about gun violence and her ongoing legal drama with her producer, Dr. Luke

"I feel like if you're a human being, you go through pain. And you go through hurt. And every single one of us knows that emotion. I don't know if you guys know what I am going through. I'm going through a lawsuit. It's (expletive) horrible," she said onstage.

She went on to call for stronger gun control laws, echoing the night's theme.

"We as a nation, we can't control who feels hurt. We can't control who feels pain, and we can't control what you do with the hurt and the pain and the anger. You can't control every single person. But what we can control is who we give the (expletive) weapons to."

The singer is embarking on her first tour since filing a lawsuit against Dr. Luke in October 2014, and previewed new, more guitar-heavy versions of hits like Your Love Is My Drug and Tik Tok for the event's crowd.

Tuesday wasn't the first time Kesha showed up to support liberal issues, joining Hillary Clinton at a Planned Parenthood event earlier this month and addressing the Human Rights Campaign about LGBT rights.
