ITASCA, Ill. — Ellis Corp., a manufacturer of industrial laundry and water treatment equipment, has appointed Robert (Bob) H. Fesmire Jr. to president, the company reports.
During his tenure at Ellis Corp. over the past two decades, Fesmire has served in various roles throughout the organization. Most recently as the company’s executive vice president and chief operating officer, Fesmire oversaw a significant growth in sales, as well as the hiring of key personnel in the organization, according to Ellis.
Fesmire’s great-great-grandfather, Wynn Edward Ellis, founded the company in 1898.
“As the fifth generation of the company, I want to carry on the successful traditions of our business, but also always challenge our people to be the best they can and to provide the best products and support possible to our customers,” he says. “My vision is that we build a world-class legacy business that will go on for another 100 years.”
Robert Fesmire Sr. will continue as the chairman and CEO of Ellis Corp.
According to the elder Fesmire, “Bob has brought many positive changes to the company. Ellis Corp. now has a defined culture and core values, and we continue to apply LEAN practices to the business, which has improved quality and added value for our customers.”
