Amala Paul-Vijay split: Are the director's parents reason behind the couple's estrangement?

Looks like there's definitely some trouble in the paradise for popular Tollywood couple, actress Amala Paul and director A. L. Vijay. Rumour has it, that the two have decided to part ways after two years of their marriage.

According to Manoramaonline.com, the cause of rift between the two is that Amala continued with her film career and kept on signing movies even after marriage, despite the disapproval of Vijay's parents.

When Vijay was approached for his comments on the same, he was unwilling to speak about it. He said, "I don’t want to talk anything about it. I will abide by my parent's decision,'' reported a daily. Apparently, both will opt for a divorce with mutual consent.

The duo fell in love while filming Deiva Thirumagal and dated for three years before finally tying the knot on June 12, 2014 post which Amala relocated to Chennai to live with Vijay.
