Subroto Bagchi, known innovator in the IT sector was a guest at Ahmedabad University recently. Bagchi presided over the University’s orientation week’s inaugural session ‘The Nalanda’.
Through the opening session, the University let the students know that there is no limitation to thinking and creativity thus giving space to grow. Bagchi spoke to the first year students at Tagore memorial hall and select few students at the University’s School of Engineering and Applied science.
Bagchi, co-founder of Mindtree motivated the students to work hard on their dreams and to achieve their goals no matter what the circumstances are.
The University provides students the right environment to learn through The Nalanda to encourage free thinking and exchange of ideas and develop bridges between disciplines, cultures and society. The Nalanda is a programme that brings speakers with very perceptive and deep perspectives to engage with the Ahmedabad University community. It is a platform for students to understand, debate, enquire and reflect the nuances of issues by engaging with such leaders to build their own independent thinking and have the confidence to articulate the same before the peers.
