Gram, urad declines on higher supply, subdued demand

New Delhi, Jul 27 () Weak conditions prevailed at the wholesale pulses market today with gram, gramdal and arhar traded lower by up to Rs 200 per quintal amid pick up in supplies following the government meausres to curb soaring prices.

New Delhi, Jul 27 () Weak conditions prevailed at the wholesale pulses market today with gram, gramdal and arhar traded lower by up to Rs 200 per quintal amid pick up in supplies following the government meausres to curb soaring prices.
Besides, fall in demand at existing higher levels too weighed on pulses prices.
Marketmen attributed decline in select pulses prices to increased supplies in the market after the government took steps to curb prices and improve availability of stocks.

Moreover, slackened from retailers at current levels too kept pressure on prices, they said.
In the national capital, gram, gramdal local and best quality were down by Rs 200 each to Rs 8,500-9,000,Rs 8,700-8,900 and Rs 9,000-9,100 per quintal respectively.
Kabli gram small also fell by Rs 200 to Rs 9,900-10,300 per quintal.
Arhar and its dal dara variety also eased by Rs 100 each to Rs 8,300 and Rs 11,100-12,800 per quintal respectively.

Masoor small Rs 6,150-6,450, bold Rs 6,200-6,500, Dal Masoor local Rs 6,650-7,150, best quality Rs 6,750-7,250, Malka local Rs 7,250-7,550, best Rs 7,350-7,650, Moth Rs 5,300-5,700, Arhar Rs 8,300, Dal Arhar Dara Rs 11,100-12,800.
