Oedipus Rex | Epidaurus | July 29-30

The Greek National Theater and Russia’s Vakhtangov Theater present a production of Sophocles’ “Oedipus Rex” at the Ancient Theater of Epidaurus on Friday, July 29 and Saturday, July 30. The play is directed by Russian director Rimas Tuminas and is part of this year’s Greek Festival. Performances take place at 9 p.m. and admission ranges from 8 to 45 euros. Tickets for Greek Festival events can be purchased online at www.viva.gr as well as at the festival’s box offices at 39 Panepistimiou St, inside the arcade (open Mondays to Fridays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.) and the Herod Atticus Theater on Dionysiou Aeropagitou St (open 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
