VADODARA: A resident of Sama-Savli Road died after being mowed down by a milk delivery tempo of Baroda Dairy on Monday morning. Sadiq Saiyyad Qazi, who originally hails from Rajasthan, was driving his two-wheeler to reach his workplace. According to complainant Gurpreetsingh Saini, who worked in the deceased’s company, the tempo came in full speed and rammed into Sadiq’s two-wheeler.
Sadiq fell down and suffered severe injuries on his head and other parts of the body.
He was rushed to a hospital by Saini and others but he didn’t survive. The tempo driver fled from the spot but the complainant provided its license plate number to the Wadi police that has begun search for him. Locals said that the road often witnesses accidents as people drive rashly.
