India’s online marketplace Tolexo signs an MOU with procurement organisation MPLUN

Tolexo, India’s online marketplace for business goods and supplies, has signed an MOU with procurement organisation, Madhya Pradesh Laghu Udyog Nigam Pvt Ltd (MPLUN). The MoU was signed in the presence of Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Shri Shivraj Singh Chauhan.

It incorporates promotion, marketing and distribution of goods manufactured by MSME units of Madhya Pradesh on Tolexo’s online platform. The joining of hands between MPLUN and Tolexo will help state’s MSMEs to leverage the extensive reach and tech infrastructure of the country’s leading B2B e-commerce platform.

The MOU will open up new avenues for existing as well as prospective MSMEs and young entrepreneurs of the state to sell their products and services to a massive buyer base across the country.

The company plans to provide the necessary back-end infrastructure, i.e. account management, customer care centres, order management systems for creating and maintaining a database of buyer and order details to assist MSME sellers in their smooth functioning.

Tolexo also plans to help MPLUN to evaluate the performance of the sellers by periodic information sharing which can be used to further align business practices.

The MOU will be in effect immediately as 580 MSME vendors of Madhya Pradesh already registered on the MP Vendor Development Online Portal will be enrolled on Tolexo.

Founded in 2014, Tolexo is a fully owned subsidiary of the world’s third largest online marketplace IndiaMART. The online marketplace has 28+ product categories, 10,00,000+ products and 8000+brands.
