Youth arrested for molesting teen

Pune: A 21-year-old man from Bhavani Peth has been arrested for allegedly molesting a 17-year-old student on the premises of a college around 4pm on Monday.
Police said the complainant and the suspect knew each other. "On Monday evening after her college got over, the complainant came to the parking lot to take out her two-wheeler. Meanwhile, the suspect too arrived at the spot and started talking with her.When she refused to respond to him, her molested her," police said.
The suspect has been booked under section 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) of the Indian Penal Code and the relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.
In another incident, a 43-year-old woman from Indiranagar in Bibvewadi has lodged a complaint with the Bibvewadi police against an unidentified caller for threatening to abduct her and using foul language.
Police said the incident occurred between June 25 and July 24. "The woman had been getting calls from an unidentified phone number. The caller used obscene language while talking. When the complainant stopped taking his calls, the suspect started to call her from a different number. The suspect used four different phone numbers to contact the complainant," an officer from the Bibvewadi police station said. tnn
