Hindus and Buddhists took out a protest march here on Tuesday to condemn the targeted killings of religious minorities in Bangladesh.

The march, the second such one since June, was organised by the Dharma Jagaran Samity, a Hindu religious platform. The demonstrators protested against “jihadi groups responsible for continuous atrocities against minorities” and accused “local leaders” of the ruling Awami League of helping “jihadi elements.”

The march concluded near the office of the Bangladesh Assistant High Commission in Kunjaban and a delegation later met the Assistant High Commissioner to submit a memorandum.

It urged the Bangladesh government to take stringent steps to protect minorities.
