DC Samba reviews service delivery by Govt departments

District Development Commissioner Samba, Sheetal Nanda today chaired a meeting to review the public service delivery and developmental issues in the district.The meeting was attended by DFO B.S Senthil Kumar, ADDC Vivek Sharma, ADC Pawan Sharma and other district level officers.

The DDC directed the officers to ensure effective monitoring of Public Service Guarantee Act (PSGA) and take suo motu cognizance of violation, if any. She directed heads of departments not to accept application on the basis of incomplete formalities and instead officially communicate to the applicant to fulfill the same.The DC asked District and field offices to put on a PSGA Board displaying ‘Officer’s Name, Phone Number and Requirements for availing the services’. 

She further directed the NIC to update department wise PSGA section on district website and work cover more services under Single Window System.The DDC emphasized upon registration of every complaint/grievance that is made to PDD, PHE and other departments for proper tracking.She underlined the need for convergence of training programmes and skill development schemes offered by different departments.   She called upon the officials to inform the District Administration about any bottlenecks they are facing regarding execution of developmental works. She also called upon officials to interact gently with public visiting their office and seek ground level feedback regarding functioning of their department.
