With his latest release Kabali, the superstar — who is called Thalaiva by his fans — has once again proved that when a Rajinikanth film arrives in theaters, everything else stops. Even in his sixties, Rajini easily pulled off the impossible stunts while playing his age on screen. He played don named Kabaliswaran who bats for the rights of Tamils in Malaysia. He was also seen romancing Radhika Apte in the film.

Speed one terahertz, memory one zettabyte. This is the exact thing that defines Rajinikanth as Chitti, the robot, who is created by Dr Vasi with human feelings and emotions to help mankind. Rajinikanth played both the roles. His performance in this science fiction as Chitti got immense appreciation from his fans and critics alike. Rajinikanth’s prosthetic look and visual effects in the movie were its highlights. He also romanced one of the most beautiful women in the world, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the film. Rajinikanth is currently shooting for the sequel of the movie which is titled 2.O. It will also feature Khiladi Akshay Kumar as an antagonist. Recently, Akshay’s crow look of an evil scientist was leaked while shooting for a fight sequence at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi. The movie is slated to release next year.

As the film’s name suggests, Rajinikanth appeared like a boss on screen. He played the character of Sivaji, a software systems architect, who fights corruption in his way when he returns to India to fulfill his dream of providing free medical treatment and education. Once again Rajini made his way into the hearts of many with his dialogues. The movie was a blockbuster commercial hit and also brought several accolades. In this movie, Rajinikanth romanced Shriya Saran.

This was India’s first photorealistic motion picture film, which featured Rajinikanth as the king in an animated avatar. Though the movie fared well with the audiences, his never-seen-before avatar was one of the most-awaited development of the year. He was seen alongside Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone in the film.

Chandramukhi:

Rajinikanth portrayed the role of Dr Saravanan, a psychiatrist, who tries to solve the mystery of all the paranormal activities gripped around a family and a king called Vethaiyan in this horror comedy film. Rajinikanth was up to the mark while enacting both his roles and his comic timing in the film was bang on. His performance in the film was lauded by the audiences. The movie became one of the longest-running films in the South India.
