The happiest person after Salman Khan's acquittal in the 1998 chinkara and blackbuck poaching case was none other than father Salim Khan. Even as netizens on social media expressed both relief and anger at the decision, Internet trolls came up with memes and jokes on what led the Rajasthan High Court to give a clean chit to Salman. This didn't go down well Salim Khan. He said that they respect the judgment of the High Court and that even if the judgment had not gone in their favour, even then they would have done the same thing.

Salman's sister, Arpita Khan Sharma, tweeted: "Thank you God for always showering us with your grace and blessings.

While Subhash Ghai and Ram Gopal Varma congratulated Salman on social media, singer Sona Mohapatra and hairstylist Sapna Bhavnani condemned his acquittal on twitter.
