Efforts afoot to expand air travel, says Rao Narbir

CHANDIGARH: Civil Aviation Minister Rao Narbir Singh said air strips at Bachhod, Bhiwani, Hisar, Karnal, and Basaula in Panchkula district would be soon made operational.

Civil Aviation Minister Rao Narbir Singh said air strips at Bachhod, Bhiwani, Hisar, Karnal, and Basaula in Panchkula district would be soon made operational.

He said he would meet Union Civil Aviation Minister Pusapati Ashok Gajapathi Raju to accelerate the construction work of international airport in Hisar.

In a statement issued here today, Rao Narbir Singh said the number of adventure sports activities such as parasailing, gliding and others would be increased at Bachhod. He said the state government was making efforts to expand air-travel facilities.

He said during the Happening Haryana Global Investor Summit in Gurgaon, investors had shown keen interest in the fields of aviation, defence production and aerospace.
