It looks like Chicago White Sox star pitcher Chris Sale is very particular about the clothes he puts on his back.

Proving that the DNC wasn't the only organizational shit show this weekend, just before a game against the Detroit Tigers, the club announced (on Twitter, no less) it was suspending Sale for five "for violating team rules, for insubordination and for destroying team equipment," and fining him an undisclosed amount for a "clubhouse incident."

It turns out that Sale didn't like the uniforms he and his team were slated to wear that night—no, it wasn't just some sartorial offense; he has a problem with the jersey's uncomfortable collar. His solution? Just rip the uniform up. Not just his, all of them.

Yahoo notes that uncomfortable collar or not, this is borderline concerning behavior for a grown man to exhibit, and others hint that this is a reflection of deeper problems within the team. Sale's agent, with the improbably awesome name of B. B. Abbott, told ESPN, "The only thing that matters to Chris Sale is winning. If he perceives that something is distracting from that or being prioritized over that, he is going to have a problem with it. There is no better teammate or competitor than Chris, and there is no player that cares more about the city of Chicago and its fans than him."

In the meantime, we, of course, have strong feelings about collared shirts and have some suggestions for Sale, should he be interested in wearing one off the field.
