Baby delivered on freeway

A baby girl was born on the M7 freeway before St John's Bridge in Durban early on Monday. Netcare 911 paramedic Chris Botha said the ambulance crew was at a service station in St Johns Avenue in Pinetown when a person ran up to them for help as a woman had gone into labour in a taxi that was on the M7."Paramedics raced to the scene and assisted the female with the birth of her little daughter. After the birth‚ both baby and mom were treated in the ambulance and then transported to a nearby hospital for further care‚" he said.TMG Digital/Durban Newsroom..
