Who are the women changing the political landscape?

Britain has a new prime minister; Theresa May who replaced David Cameron after the latter resigned his position following the country's referendum to leave the European Union (EU) last month.

May is second female British Prime Minister, after the iconic Margaret Thatcher.

Last week, May evoked memories of Thatcher, who was famously known as the "Iron lady", at her debut answering questions as Prime Minister in parliament, with a jibe at opposition leader Jeremy Corbyn.

The change of leadership in the UK now means women are now in charge of two of the top five economies in the world.
