Sardarnagar resident held for robberies in Mumbai

Cyber cell sleuths of the city crime branch late on Saturday night arrested Sushil Garange, a resident of Sardarnagar, for allegedly committing thefts and robberies worth more than Rs 89 lakh in Mumbai and adjoining suburbs.

AHMEDABAD: Cyber cell sleuths of the city crime branch late on Saturday night arrested Sushil Garange, a resident of Sardarnagar, for allegedly committing thefts and robberies worth more than Rs 89 lakh in Mumbai and adjoining suburbs.
Police said that Garange and his gang members including a woman, Savita Ravindra, have committed about eight offences in Mumbai within eight months.

The crime branch sources said that the gang used to travel to Mumbai in groups and stay in cheap hotels and guest houses.
"During the day time they used to keep a watch in areas where in angadia firms were located and zero in on their targets. Next day they would commit the crime and hide for a day or two," said a crime branch official.
"We are hunting for other gang members - Ajuba, Rupesh Abhvekar, Rajpal, Sanjay Bajrange, Jayanti Jadeja, Rajpal Indrekar - who are also involved in several incidents of robberies and thefts in Borivali, Malad, Dindoli, Kandivali, Bungarnagar and Andheri police station areas of Mumbai," said assistant commissioner of police, crime branch, Rajdeepsinh Zala.
