Scores of medical seat aspirants and parents, who picked engineering seats through COMEDK and CET and paid the fees, have urged the State government to direct colleges to refund if they obtain medical seats through NEET. “We picked engineering seats to play safe. The government has not made any effort to address our concern, so they need to refund our fees if we bag medical seats,” Venkat Narayana, a parent, said. The government is yet to decide. The KEA brochure specifies that if a candidate fails to report to college after seat allotment in the second extended round, legal action would be initiated against the student. Students have urged the KEA to drop this clause in the light of uncertainty.
