Alankode Leelakrishnan, litterateur, has been selected for this year’s Vaikom Chandrasekharan Nair literary award. The award instituted by Yuvakala Sahithi, Sharjah unit, will be presented at a function to be held at Vaikom Satyagraha Smaraka Hall at August 7, said M.D. Baburaj, Mandalam secretary of the samithy. The award carrying a purse of Rs.10,000 and a citation will be presented by K.V. Mohankumar, Director of Public Instruction. P.K. Gopi, poet, will inaugurate the function. — Special Correspondent
