ISLAMABAD: Customs officials on Saturday foiled a bid to smuggle cell phones at the Benazir Bhutto International Airport (BBIA), besides arresting four alleged smugglers. On a tip-off, customs officials conducted snap checking of luggage of four passengers and seized over 1,500 cell phones from them at the Benazir Bhutto International Airport. The passengers had arrived Islamabad from Dubai on a private airline, said an Benazir Bhutto International Airport official on condition of anonymity because he was not authroised to speak to media. The smugglers were identified as Faisal and Waqas, hailing from Karachi, and Abdullah and Azizul Rehman from Kohat. The accused were arrested and shifted to jail for further investigations.
