Sonepat MP pays tributes to folk singer

Sonepat MP Ramesh Kaushik today paid his condolence to renowned Haryanavi folk singer Master Satbir Singh at Bhainswal Kalan village. Kaushik said that his demise was a great loss to the Haryana’s rich folk culture.

On the occasion, the MP announced a grant of Rs 30 lakh from his discretionary fund for various projects to be started in the folk singer’s name.

The amount included Rs 10 lakh for the construction of a memorial at the cremation ground, Rs 10 lakh for a community chaupal and Rs 10 lakh for developing a park in the village.

Satbir’s cousin Olympic medalist wrestler Yogeshwar Dutt and other prominent persons of the area were also present on the occasion.
