Bengaluru: Roopa Tembad, 33, a sub-inspector who allegedly attempted suicide at the Vijayanagar police station last week, was discharged from a private hospital at 6pm on Saturday.
Hospital authorities confirmed that Roopa's condition was stable. Roopa (in pic), mother of a three-year old girl, consumed 25 paracetamol tablets following an argument with inspector Sanjeev Gowda over a mobile phone.
Roopa's statement to be recorded: Police said the mobile phone had been seized in a Pocso case and that Roopa hadn't returned the phone to the complainant. The cops will now record Roopa's statement in the case. ACP Satyanarayan Kudur had told TOI on Saturday that along with Roopa's statement, they will also question ACP SK Umesh and inspector Gowda.
