Traffic police issues challans to 70 people including Merc

NOIDA: The traffic police on Sunday issued challans for violations to as many as 70 people around DLF Mall and surrounding areas, including the owner of a Mercedes AMG owner.
The owner of the SUV with number MH 14CU1 was challaned for rash driving and flouting the new diversion on the Film City flyover, officials said.
“The driver was speeding towards the carriageway and did not stop despite being signaled otherwise.We directed the policemen to stop him on the road ahead as the driver rushed further,” traffic inspector Dharmendra Yadav told TOI.
His documents have been seized and would be returned after he deposits the challan amount. The driver has been identified as one Rajesh. He was heading towards DLF Mall from Delhi with three younger boys.
Assistant traffic inspector Avinash Saini said that as many as 70 challans have been issued for various offences like no parking, wrong side driving, etc in the area around DLF Mall on Sunday.
