Revanna had called Vijaya before she attempted suicide: Minister

Hassan: District minister A Manju alleged that JD(S) which is losing its ground in the district, is using assistant commissioner Vijaya's suicide attempt as a tool to gain political mileage.
Speaking to reporters after meeting Vijaya at the hospital on Saturday, Manju took MLA H D Revanna to task for trying to politicise the issue.
" For the past one-and-a-half years, Revanna was targeting Vijaya alleging that she has involved in several irregularities.But after her suicide attempt, suddenly Revanna has started showing sympathy towards the officer,'' Manju said.
Manju said that just an hour before Vijaya attempted suicide, Revanna had called her over the phone. There should be a proper probe into the incident. "I have directed superintendent of police Rahul Kumar Shahapurawad to conduct an investigation to know the truth behind the suicide attempt," he said.
