Allahabad: Referring to tussle between Bahujan Samaj Party and Bharatiya Janata Party over use of abusive language, Union minister of state for health and family welfare Anupriya Patel said here on Saturday said that it is unfortunate that women are being targeted by politicians to achieve their aim. She was in the city to lead a road show.
Talking to newspersons, Anupriya castigated Bahujan Samaj Party for using derogatory words against former BJP state vice-president Dayashankar Singh's wife and daughter.

"BJP had acted instantly and took action against former state vice-president for his objectionable comment but BSP leaders went a step ahead and used the occasion to target his wife and daughter to gain political mileage. It is unacceptable. The political atmosphere is worsening with each passing day," she said. What were the BSP activists trying to prove by insulting women, she asked. She later took part in the road shows to apprise youngsters about the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government plans and policies. The road show started from Circuit House and after passing through Subhash crossing, Balson crossing, SP Marg, Alopibagh, and half-a-dozen other places and ended at Teliarganj.
