Citizen seeks Yadav’s ouster, goes on fast
Nagpur: The controversy surrounding the chairman of Maharashtra State Labour Board Omprakash ‘Munna’ Yadav refuses to die down with one Suraj Lolge going on hunger strike at Samvidhan Square demanding Yadav’s sacking.
Lolge says several criminal complaints are registered against Yadav and hence he should be removed. Yadav’s supporters, on the other hand, denied these charges and said that several criminal complaints were lodged against Lolge.
In a press conference, Yadav’s supporters said when Lolge has moved the Nagpur bench of Bombay High Court against Yadav, then why has he gone on hunger strike. They said that Lolge was trying to mislead the people and committing contempt of court.
NIT trustee Bhushan Shingane and BJP corporator Ashwini Jichkar were present.
Yadav is a close aide of chief minister Devendra Fadnavis and his sacking was recently demanded by Congress MLC Narayan Rane. Lolge said that the chairman had forcibly evicted slum-dwellers and he could not be messiah of poor by any stretch of imagination.
