Minister holds meeting on dengue control
Dehradun, July 23
Health Minister Surinder Singh Negi held an inter-department meeting for the control of dengue in the state.
In view of rising dengue cases in the Pathribag area, the minister directed the PWD, Dehradun Municipal Corporation, Department of Irrigation and the Jal Sansthan to take necessary measures.
There have been complaints from people about the careless manner in which these departments carry out digging work in the city, creating a breeding ground for mosquitoes in stagnating water.
Negi visited Pathribag yesterday to take stock of the situation but had to face the anger of people who blamed the government for failing to undertake fogging at regular intervals. — TNS
