Security operatives capture man who tried to steal Olympic torch
Though the disruption caused a scene while the run was going on, it did not have any consequence on the route being taken during the event.
The yet to be identified suspect tried to steal the valuable from its handler believed to be Patricia de Albuquerque, on the Salgado Filho Avenue in the centre of Guarulhos, Daily Mail reports.
A video footage shows the unknown man as he was restrained by the security agents on stand-by.
