Ayon kay Luis, “It’s not my strength. Kilala niyo ako. Ma-ba-bash ako the very next day. I would say something not inappropriate but some people might find it inappropriate for that kind of event.

“So, iniiwasan ko na. Kunwari sa question and answer mamaya magtuloy-tuloy ako. O kaya pag hawak ko yung mike magbato ako ng punchline, jackpot ako the next day. Why would I still put myself in that situation? Di ba? So yun lang, may mga kanya kanyang putahe na ino-offer sa mga tao,” paliwanag ng TV host-comedian.

In fairness, may tatlong umeereng programa ngayon ang binata sa ABS-CBN, ang latest addition sa kanyang mga hino-host na show ay itong Minute To Win It. Sey ni Luis, hindi siya mapapagod sa kanyang mga ginagawa bilang host.

“I guess it’s because of the audience. The fact na natatawa pa rin sila sa mga hirit ko. They look forward to the next episode and then I’ll be working with a very talented team again. That keeps the fire burning and burning even more.

“And the awards. Siyempre pagkauwi ng bahay meron akong isang buong shelf na may awards. So it’s always a good thing pag bababa ako ng bahay yun yung huli kong nakikita before stepping out the door.

“Yung mga different awards ko for hostings. It’s always a good drive na gusto kong dagdagan pa itong mga award na ito,” dagdag pa ng rumored boyfriend ni Jessy Mendiola.

Inamin naman ni Luis na inaatake pa rin siya ng nerbiyos kapag sumasalang siya sa kanyang mga show, “Yes even up to now, every time I step on stage and I put on my lapel kinakabahan ako. I had to host one of my best friend’s wedding before and to think that it’s very personal, it’s very private, pero nanginginig ako sa takot.

“And I know that there are times where I talk too fast, I stutter, ang dami ko pang ginagawang mali. So I still get nervous every single time whether it’s a simple event or something na pang-MOA arena. Kinakabahan pa rin ako ng sobra-sobra,” aniya.

Grabe rin daw ang kaligayahang nadarama niya kapag nakikita niyang natatawa at natutuwa sa kanya audience, “Seeing those smiles from the stage, seeing an event na from the start to the end, happy sa ‘yo ang client mo, happy sa ‘yo ang audience mo at happy sayo ang team mo. Ibang klase yung sense of achievement and fulfillment. On the way home I’m smiling.

“When people tell you na, ‘Uy napapatawa mo ako every day or nanuod kami ng Family Feud tawang tawa kami sa ‘yo.’ Or ‘ang kulit mo’ sa The Voice or sa Minute. Gusto ko sana sabihin na walang perang katumbas yun pero meron, eh!” natatawang chika pa ni Luis.
