Munich attack: The Prime Minister Narendra Modi has condoled the loss of lives in Munich attack and said that ‘our thoughts and prayers’ are with the victim families. “We are appalled by the horrific incident in Munich. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of the deceased and those injured”, the Prime Minister said. At least 10 people were killed and over 20 were injured in the Munich attack. Police said that the lone killer was among the dead and as per his identity is concerned, he is believed to be German-Iranian and the motive of killing is still unknown. The lone attacker is believed to have killed himself, said the reports.

Indian Embassy in Germany has issued helpline numbers: 0171-2885973, 01512- 3595006, 0175-4000667 for the Indians trapped in the tragic terror attack. Police said to have secured the gunman’s vehicle. Indian Ambassador in Germany has asked Indian to look out for other Indians who may be trapped nearby. “Request all Indians in #Munich area to look out for others and check on them as situation is uncertain,” said Ambassador Gurjit Singh.  The number of Indians hurt or trapped in the attack is still uncertain. “#Munichattack. Situation live& not conclusive. #IndianCommunity must follow police advice:stayindoors help others stayin touch with groups,” reads another tweet of the ambassador.

External Affair Minister Sushma Swaraj said that there is no casualty as per Indian are concerned. “I have spoken to @AmbGurjitSingh our Ambassador in Germany. He has informed me that there is no Indian casualty in the #Munichattack,” tweeted Swaraj.

Veteran cricketer VVS Laxman also expressed her concern over the ongoing terror attacks. “Another tragic terror attack/shooting in Europe,3rd attack in 8 days..When will this stop???? #MunichShooting,” tweeted Laxman.
