Chennai: Leader of the Opposition M K Stalin has slammed the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) government for not taking into account the views of opposition in deciding the assembly schedule.
On Thursday, Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) legislators walked out of the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) meeting, which took place after the revised budget for fiscal 2016-17 was presented by finance minister O Panneerselvam.

The House will see debate on the budget next week. From August 1 onwards, legislators will discuss grants for various government departments.
On Friday, speaking to reporters during a visit to his constituency, Kolathur, Stalin said DMK walked out of the BAC meeting "as they did not give us a chance to talk."
"They take all the decisions. Discussions that should last two or three days, they try to finish in one day.
Therefore, we told them, there was no need to call for this meeting. We expressed our regret and walked out to register our protest," he said.
The DMK treasurer also expressed displeasure over the fact that the assembly schedule had only one day to discuss local bodies administration.
