Lanvin and Bottega Veneta find new homes on Madison Ave

The 127-year-old Paris-based fashion house Lanvin is moving its women’s store from 815 Madison to 849 Madison Ave., where it has subleased a former Bottega Veneta storefront, The Post has learned.

Bottega Veneta is developing a huge new store at 740 Madison Ave., on the northwest corner of 64th Street.

Lanvin’s new 1,400 square-foot women’s store will open on the eastern blockfront between 70th and 71st streets as soon as a build-out can occur, sources said.

The current Lanvin women’s store at 815 Madison is owned by its retail neighbor Max Mara and has previously been the home to both Versace and Calypso St. Barth. It could not be learned if Max Mara will expand or lease the charming townhouse to another retailer.

Lavin, a couture fashion house founded by Jeanne Lanvin, also has a mens store that will remain at 807 Madison between E. 67 and 68 streets.

Its new women’s store will be on the same blockfront with Pucci and Asprey to the north, but its neighbor to its south, a Tom Ford duplex of almost 14,000 square feet, will soon be available, sources said.

Lanvin could not be reached for comment.
