AirAsia India, the official airline partner for Rajinikanth-starrer movie Kabali, which released on Friday, drew ire from its customers, as the airline made some changes to its special Kabali package trip. AirAsia, which is running special Kabali-themed AirAsia flights, changed the movie venue at the last minute, which the customers were not happy with as they were taken to Prasad studio instead of Sathyam theatre as promised. Soon after, negative comments about the brand AirAsia started to pour on social media.

An AirAsia spokesperson told FE, “Owing to unforeseen circumstances, the venue was changed and we at AirAsia were intimated about the unexpected change in venue in the wee hours of the morning. This came as a surprise to us. We should have intimated the guests about change in advance. However, we take responsibility and we have done our best to ensure that all necessary steps have been taken to enjoy the movie at the originally planned venue.”

The aircraft will be flying across the AirAsia India network covering destinations including Bengaluru, New Delhi, Goa, Pune, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Guwahati, Imphal, Vizag and Kochi.
