Spiritual guru Swami Chidanand Muni Saraswati Maharaj attended the 40th anniversary celebrations of Hari temple in Pennsylvania, USA, today.

Parmarth Niketan Ashram coordinator Sadhvi Bhagwati said the temple committee had invited Swami Chidanand Muni Saraswati to attend the celebrations.

She said Swami Chidanand had played a major role in building the temple. A large number of Indians as well as local people visit the temple in the USA.

“The main aim of the founding Hari temple, a Hindu-Jain temple in the USA, was to unite the Indian diaspora community and reconnect them with their culture and heritage. For four decades, the temple has been a major religious –spiritual destination for the Indian community based in the USA,” said Bhagwati.

Meanwhile, Swami Chidanand urged the youth to utilise time, talent, technology and tenacity for the overall development of society.

He urged temple committee members to plant saplings on the premises and at their homes.

A special flag of the Hari temple was hoisted, marking the conclusion of the day-long event.
