Dwarka court judge, accused of molestation, consumes excessive sleeping pills

According to police, the judge attempted to commit suicide by consuming overdose of sleeping pills after his colleague accused him of raping her.

A Dwarka court judge PS Malik was today hospitalised in Delhi's Hedgewar Hospital after his unsuccessful attempt to commit suicide.

According to police, the judge attempted to commit suicide by consuming overdose of sleeping pills after his colleague accused him of raping her.

ACCUSED AND SUSPENDED

A woman on July 20 had filed a complaint against Malik accusing him of repeatedly raping her since January 2016. Consequently, Malik, who lived with his family at residential area of Karkardooma, was suspended from the court.

Shahadra Bar Association in their statement has stated the false allegations of molestation might have prompted Malik to take such step.

"He has been admitted to Hedgewar Hospital. He was in depression due to alleged false allegation of molestation by some woman, "the statement said.
