This week’s best Snapchats features many relatable Snaps — pro athletes, they’re just like us!
These don’t need much of an introduction. There was no huge breaking news or slimy event, but that doesn’t mean there weren’t any great Snaps to watch. To kick things off, we have Jeremy Lin with his new Brooklyn hairstyle and Lolo Jones mastering filters. Also included is Serena Williams’ Crocodile Hunter impression.
1. Jeremy Lin’s Brooklyn Braided
Jeremy Lin has moved on from the ponytail. He now has cornrows, which he debuted at his Brooklyn Nets press conference. On social media, he first shared the new look on Snapchat, then he later posted on Instagram with the hashtag #brooklynbraided. I can’t imagine what hairstyle could come after this one, but I hope he never goes back to a normal short haircut.
Update: On Friday afternoon (ET), Lin shared a photo with the caption “No more braids … sad.” So I guess the braids thing was just for the press conference, which makes it even more awesome.
2. Lolo Jones’ Filter Captions
We’ve all felt like each of these Snaps at one point or another. Very relatable.
3. Kendall Marshall: Drink Engineer
I can’t say that I’ve ever heard anyone call their drink mixing skills “the apex of the vortex of liquor engineering.” The 76ers’ Kendall Marshall must really know what he’s doing.
4. Serena Williams Turns into The Crocodile Hunter (but for cute dogs)
Serena Williams narrated her tiny dog’s moves while she took him outside. She has a very good dog.

Same. Extremely relatable.
7. Pokemon Go Paris
Kevin Seraphin posted a video that showed a bunch of people gathered in a grassy area, and he said they were all playing Pokemon Go, which is totally believable. Then, he shared a pretty photo of the Eiffel Tower. From the looks of his Snaps, Seraphin has been in France for most of his offseason. He’s also still a free agent.
8. Chandler Jones Asks for Forgiveness for Food Choices
It looks really good. Sometimes you just have to let loose and order that ultra unhealthy In-N-Out double double with animal fries, ya know?
9. Yasiel Puig Tours D.C.
Yasiel Puig documented his trip touring the hottest spots in Washington, D.C., with videos. This was a nice screengrab. If only he added one of his hashtags as the caption, such as #PuigLovesDC.
10. Adrian Gonzalez Also Toured D.C.
Adrian Gonzalez said that some people told him to go check out Tysons Corner, Va., while he was in Washington, D.C., so he did. He went shopping and rode on a little animal thing. I included this because For The Win is based in Tysons Corner. Shoutout Tysons Corner!
