Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev will address an audience of nearly ten thousand as a part of the University of Mysore's (UoM) centenary lecture series on Sunday.

Mysuru: Isha Foundation creator and one of the world's leading spiritual voices, Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev will address an audience of nearly ten thousand as a part of the University of Mysore's (UoM) centenary lecture series on Sunday.
The lecture will be delivered at the university's open-air theatre. UoM's year-long centenary celebrations are drawing to a close and along with a host of other cultural events, the lecture series has been organised as a part of the celebrations' last act, said the centenary celebration committee consultant Niranjan Nikkam.
He pointed out that Nobel laureates from across the globe had also delivered lectures at Crawford Hall, which houses the university's administrative complex, in the course of the centenary celebrations.
Sadhuguru, who has delivered speeches at popular platforms such as TED and World Economic Forum, will speak on 'Inner Engineering - A Homecoming', a two-hour long lecture at the open-air theatre. "Sadhguru was born in Mysuru and is also an alumnus of UoM, where he received his degree in english literature. He conducted yoga programmes in the city in the 1980s," Nikkam said.
"Lecturers, students and university staff will be seen participating in the lecture. The necessary arrangements have already been completed and this unique lecture programme has attracted people from different parts of the state. Nearly a thousand people are expected from Bengaluru," he added.
Volunteer with the Isha Foundation, La ta Krishna Mohan said, "Sadhguru deeply regrets the number of teenagers committing suicide for stress and other reasons and he has always aspire d to address more youngsters. Inner engineering is offered as an intensive programme for personal growth. It will establish the possibility to explore new dimensions to life and it also provides new ways to improve on eself with yoga." Sadhguru's talk will begin at 11am on Sunday and pu blic has been permitted entry.
