VASCO: The repair work of the celeing of Sada sub-jail, which collapsed on Sunday, has not yet started. Sources said it may take 15 more days for the procedure to complete, as it involves a lot of file work.
Late last Sunday night, as the inmates of cell number 10 were making their bedding, a portion of the roof at Sada sub-jail caved in. About 33 prisoners were subsequently shifted to the Colvale jail.

An initial inspection revealed that all five cells, from six to ten, were in danger and had to be vacated.
On Wednesday, assistant engineer of the public works department (PWD) A D Nagarchi, inspected the premises again and pointed out that about Rs 20 lakh would have to be spent on repair works.
The file with the claim for the required repair work will first be sent to the PWD head and then to the inspector general (prisons).
