Looking forward: Meeting held to discuss Hajj arrangements

A meeting to review pre Hajj arrangements was held at the Hajj Directorate located in Hayatabad. This was stated in a handout issued on Thursday.

While speaking on the occasion, Shakeel Ahmad Sethi said at least 25,319 pilgrims from K-P and Fata are expected to perform Hajj this year. Out of these, at least 13,917 will perform Hajj under the government scheme, while the remaining 11,402 will perform the pilgrimage through private schemes. He further said the Hajj flights from Bacha Khan International Airport will commence from August 4 and will continue till September 3.

He also said various banks will open their booths at Haji Camp Peshawar in order to facilitate the outgoing pilgrims. Besides Pesco, SNGPL and WASA will also provide round-the-clock services at the Haji Camp. Moreover, banners will also be installed from Haji Camp to the airport in order to provide guidance to the pilgrims. Police escorts will also accompany buses carrying pilgrims to the airport.
