Rejoice! Leslie Jones returns to Twitter

She's back!

It broke our hearts when Leslie Jones quit Twitter after trolls flooded her account with racist tweets and imagery.

"I leave Twitter tonight with tears and a very sad heart. All this cause I did a movie," the Ghostbusters star tweeted on July 19, after sharing samples of the hate aimed her way on the social media service. "You can hate the movie but the (crap) I got today...wrong."

The world rallied around her: the star's fans created a hashtag of support, #LoveForLeslieJ, Dan Aykroyd spoke up in her defense, her Saturday Night Live co-stars tweeted kind words and Twitter banned conservative writer Milo Yiannopoulos from the social media service, after he launched a racist tirade against Jones, calling her "illiterate."

And so, Jones returns to us, because she knows what we need most right now. The SNL star tweeted she thought she could stay away, "but who else is gonna live tweet Game of Thrones!!"

Twitter's official account tweeted a heart in response, and dozens of fans celebrated with triumphant gifs. Welcome back, @Lesdoggg!
